Percussion lessons are open to children and adults of all skill levels. Children at the age of 7 start to develop the finger dexterity and strength required for Drums, Snare, and Mallet instruments. Mallet instruments are an excellent foundation instrument, providing the student with basic musical knowledge that can later be applied to any instrument.

Houston Music Academy is committed to ensuring that students of all ages and abilities have a positive private lesson experience. Students are individually placed with a teacher based on learning style, experience, and musical interests.

Private lesson students also receive the benefit of multiple opportunities to perform in recitals, jams, workshops, and masterclasses.
